Newtown Farm Market's History

local produce market

NFM's Heritage as a Farm Market

Tim and Sarah Aicholz opened their farm to the public in 1982, featuring fresh corn and pick your own berries.

NFM Becomes a Grocery Store

In 1991 Bob and Judy Palmisano purchased the building and expanded it to include dry goods, a deli and more produce options leveraging his experience in the produce distribution industry.

NFM Expands with Produce Powerhouses

Brothers, Frank and Mark Catanzaro, acquired NFM in 2012.  The Catanzaro family were long time leaders in the Cincinnati produce industry.  They expanded NFM's offerings allowing the market to provide fresh options year-round.  We're honored that Mark continues with us today as NFM's Produce Manager and advisor.

NFM's New Chapter

In 2024, three friends started a new adventure to preserve this rare Cincinnati institution and create a new tradition for generations to come.  Nick and Jill Lauterbach are husband and wife.  Tina MacVeigh and Jill have been best friends for over 30 years.
